Office in a suitcase
This gives a whole new meaning to "living out of a suitcase."

Think outside the cube
Yep, I'm working in an office. For about 8 hours a day, my world moves within a three-wall cube.
But a cube doesn't have to be just a cube. Not when you create a world inside it.

Wicked sweet!
Last night's episode of Cupcake Wars was a particularly special one for me. Contestants battled for the chance to create the delicious centerpiece at the Los Angeles opening of the hit Broadway musical, Wicked.
For years, I had been reading and re-reading the book by Gregory Maguire on which the musical was based. It wasn't until last year that I finally experienced the show in the theater when my husband surprised me with tickets for my birthday. It was the first musical we saw together as a married couple. And the magic was beyond my expectations.
The winner for that episode was California-based bakery, Cake Mamas, who brought the most popular elements of the musical to life through their cupcakes.

A colorful first
I wanted my first post of the year to make a splash -- of color, that is.

A toast to the year that was and the year to come
Experiences that provide new perspectives. Challenges that shape your character. Small gestures that bring great happiness. Family and friends who are always there, even when you're oceans away.
Here's to the what truly matters. Happy New Year!
